Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
You remember when you were a little kid, and there was this little store round the corner that had a nice man behind the counter who would sell you a big bag of the best candy for a nickel? We don’t either, no one is that old! But if we were that old, this wine might just remind us a little of those days, with aromas of raspberries, clove and nutmeg; and flavors of zingy raspberry and blackberries - maybe even that funny plum candy you used to think was yucky - finishing with impressions of 10W30 oil. Whoops, I guess we wandered into the hardware department, but I think you get the idea...
Vineyard Notes
87% Grenache from the Colina Roja block, Twisted Oak
13% Petite Sirah from the Tanner Vineyard
Food Pairing Notes
Tapas! spicy sausages and salamis - ham - game - pot roast - linguica sweet fruit sauces - even lamb and goat! (and, oddly enough, corned beef and cabbage...)

A coworker that knows that I like red wine (I REALLY LIKE RED WINE) recently suprised me with a bottle of real good Zinfandel. The Zin he brought me was really really good. I asked what he would like in return, and he said "Bring me something from that Twisted rubber chicken place you keep talking about." I wanted to blow his socks off and show him what Twisted Oak was capable of, so I gave him a bottle of 2008 Torcido. Every time I open a bottle of this wine, pour myself a glass (Yes, I might be drinking alone...don't judge me) and take my first sip, I always find myself saying out loud, "Wow, this is good." This wine is big and bold, but smooth and yummy at the same time. You will not be disappointed. Get this wine, and drink it....or....get this wine and give it to a coworker that just gave you a real good bottle of wine. Either way, you're getting/giving a great bottle of wine.
