It's a Twisted Crush Dinner!
Come celebrate the 2018 Crush with a fabulous Winemaker Dinner! It's happening Friday, September 28th, 2018, starting at 6pm, at the Murphys Historic Hotel.
And, because we can, we are celebrating other stuff! Like...
Did you know that on September 28, 2008, SpaceX launched the first privately funded liquid-fueled rocket to reach orbit?
Not only that, but on September 28, 1542, Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo sailed into San Diego Bay, basically "discovering" California (from a European perspective anyway).
September 28 is a pretty auspicious date, don't you think**?
More about that later, but for now you need to know about the dinner! The Murphys Historic Hotel is preparing a stunning spread of Spanish favorites, including:
- Yummy passed apps like Empanadas, Bacon Wrapped Dates, and Grilled Shrimp
- Spanish Chicken with Bacon and Dates (we got bacon covered really well!)
- Roasted Flank Steak in a Tangy Tomato Sauce
- Vegetable Paella
- Side dishes like Patatas Bravas (fried Spanish potatoes!), Roasted Veggies, and of course, Dinner Rolls
- And a nice dessert of Bread Pudding with a Salted Caramel Sauce
All of this is paired with a yummy selection of our Spanish-style favorites, both current and older library wines - wines like The Spaniard, River of Skulls, and Torcido;
And Nicholas Lefler is playing his Spanish guitar!
I hope all that is Spanish enough for you!
All this - and history lessons! - for just $65 all inclusive. (Twisted Few members pay just $55 each and may bring any number of guests.)
And - All wines poured will be available for purchase at some very special prices, that night only.
Space is limited so purchase your tickets now! Don't be disappointed!
** On the other hand, in 935 Saint Wenceslaus was murdered by his brother, Boleslaus I of Bohemia. That was a fine kettle of slaus.... it happened at a feast but don't let that stop you.
