Put a Little Mystery in Your Life! (Twisted FewsLetter)

How About a Little Mystery?

Nick, the assistant winemaker, has been after me to move out some of the dusty old vintages cluttering up our library cellar, so I think it’s about time for The Return of the Mystery Box!

We figure it’s about time to get this wine out of our dusty dungeon and into your glasses, just in time for all of the holidays. (After all, well aged wine pairs tastes with Grandma’s well aged figgy pudding)

So, we are bringing back the famous “Mystery Box o’ Wine“: six bottles of our choice, at a great price! (If you pick up, the wine will actually come in a bag, but why quibble?)

Here’s how it works:

  • This is a Random Six-Pack Sale. We’re going to put six randomly selected bottles in a box or bag and seal it up.
  • You have the option of six reds, or two whites and four reds. (Don’t be surprised, our whites age well!)
  • You can order more than one Six-Pack (and the case-or-more complimentary shipping rate will then apply).
  • We will pull from vintages between 2005 and 2012. We aren’t sending any vintages that we haven’t tasted and approved of. You’ll get a nice selection.
  • Because of the random selection logistics, we can’t add these to your next Twisted Few shipment.

Each six-pack is priced to move from our place to yours at just $99 each, plus any applicable shipping and taxes.

TO ORDER THE MYSTERY BOX: Just please reply to this email with the number and type of six-packs you would like. (And if you have updated payment or shipping, be sure to login at twistedoak.com or call us at 209-736-9080.)

Please order by Sunday, November 5th. While supplies last.

The Spaniard Day

For several reasons, we have rescheduled The Spaniard Day to Saturday December 9th, from 11:27am to 3:19pm. The Spaniard Day is where we pull out every available vintage of The Spaniard for tasting, including some vintages not yet bottled. Some of the vintages will be available for sale, and there will be yummy tapas to enjoy with your Spaniard. Stay tuned for details.

And if you are coming this way on November 4th, be aware it is the annual Day of the Dead event in Murphys. We’ll be doing our bit as “Day of the Dead Pirates” (see Fig 1) and having some good fun with that – stop on by! Arrrrrroooooooo!

Several of you have written to ask how we are doing with all of the fires in California. As you are aware, massive fires have burned large portions of Napa and Sonoma counties. Where we are – 100+ miles across the Central Valley – our employees and the winery were safe from these fires. Thank you for thinking of us. Please join us in extending thoughts and prayers to the victims** and to the first responders who fight the fires and keep people safe.

Thanks again for being Twisted! – El Jefe

** If you have lost your cellar in these recent fires, please contact me when you are ready. We will do our best to replace by vintage.
