Tasting Notes
A late night infomercial from a couple of years ago for a questionable land
deal in northern California had a well-known TV cop from the 1980s telling
you “You Gonna Love It!” Well, there is nothing questionable about the
Calaveras County land that grows this Tempranillo! It’s starts off with spicy
aromas like raspberries, blueberries and nutmeg, and finishes with flavors
of black pepper, cherries and tobacco. We’re absolutely certain “You Gonna
Love It!”

Solid structure full bodied wine with backbone supported by the cab. Good fruit flavors but too peppery for my wife.

I'm generally a fan of Tempranillo, finding that while relatively light-bodied they deliver on flavor. This Tempranillo was a bigger mouthful than most. While flavorful and full of character it went well with tomatoes, garlic, olive oil and grated romano over pasta. A great choice for spicy or ethnic foods, where one might often choose a zin.

This wine introduced me to the lovely varietal that is Tempranillo! I have tasted many a Tempranillo since, but I keep coming back to this sassy little libation. Being lovers of spicy foods, my fiance and I can pair this wine with many a spicy dish, making a match made in heaven. Its earthy, smoky, and smooth. Love, love LOVE this wine!

One of my favorites! I could drink this wine every day with any food, or just by its delicious self!
